Jaroslav Halak will miss the rest of the New York Islanders’ regular season.
“He’s out at least six weeks,” Jack Capuano said. “We’ll go from there.”
The Islanders' goaltender was injured in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Halak is 18-13-4 with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage this season.
Thomas Greiss will assume the starting role in Halak's absence.
