The Calgary Flames landed the biggest fish left on the free agent market Monday.
According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the Flames have signed to a five-year contract. He notes the contract will carry a cap hit of roughly $5.75 million.
In 71 games last season for the expansion Vegas Golden Knights, Neal had 25 goals and 19 assists. His career-high in goals came during the 2011-12 season when he scored 40 for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
