Jagr Would Rather Be Warm

“You know, it’s so funny to me — everybody is so happy here to play outside,” Flyers right wing Jaromir Jagr said. “When I was a kid, I played outside all the time and I was so happy to play inside. I think I’m the only guy who is upset about it.”
Not quite. Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov feels the same way. When asked if he’s looking forward to the Winter Classic, the Russian said, “I don’t have any feelings. I don’t care.”
Like Bryzgalov, Jagr had his fill of outdoor hockey as a child in Eastern Europe.
“Until 15 years old, a lot of our arenas weren’t closed, so you played outside,” said Jagr, a Czech. “Trust me, it’s a lot better to be inside.”
