I wonder if the Devils will not chase Brunner, since they signed another sniper ( Jagr).

i’m starting to wonder if Brunner doesn’t end up in the KHL at this point… it seems absurd after finally breaking into the NHL at 27, but they will definitely pay him whatever his agent has convinced him he is worth despite the fact that apparently no NHL teams agree.

Devil’s never replaced Parise’s production either, half the reason Clarkson got the shot he did.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them still pick up Brunner.  Given what’s left on the FA list, mainly goal scoring left on the FA list and given what he’s allegedly asking for 3.5-4m (CHEAP for the GOAL production) and the loss of Parise, Kovalchuck and Clarkson’s surprising 20+ goals.  I wouldn’t be surprised.

Jagr’s got a great racket going on though.  Heard it from my buddy who got it on HFB but Jagr just picks the highest bidding shitty team, bubble team.  Get paid, then at the trade deadline, when his team doesn’t make it, he gets traded to a contender for a run.  Brilliant.  Has his cake and eats it too.

Huh? The year he scored 30, Parise was on the team.

Devils pickup Thomas Vanek at the trade deadline next season.  They are one of only a few teams that can handle his cap hit.
