It’s Stars/Sharks, Sharks/Stars The Next Two Games

from Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News,

Officially, two losses to the San Jose Sharks will not end the Stars’ season, but it will come pretty darn close.

And on the other side, the reality of a non-playoff season might be even more intense. With the Stars haveing an extra point and the ROW tiebreaker, if Dallas takes four points in these next two games while holding San Jose to one or less, then the Stars are in the playoffs and the Sharks are in a very bad place.

You want real drama, you get it tonight. You want season-on-the-line type stuff, come to American Airlines Center on Tuesday. This is serious.

And isn’t that what we’ve been asking for? Isn’t that what all the hullabaloo was about when we bemoaned missing the playoffs for three straight seasons? Isn’t this the kind of game where both sides will be digging their nails into the bench from the drop of the puck?
