RFA Nazem Kadri in this Sportsnet inteview says the ball is in the Leafs' court regarding his contract.

Yes it is, and that’s why you have to soften your demands after only one 48 game NHL season under your belt.

Yes it is, and that’s why you have to soften your demands after only one 48 game NHL season under your belt.

Why?  They bought out their only other option to play second line centre (Grabovski) thereby basically declaring Kadri as the #2, and now they don’t want to pay #2 money for him?

They made him their number two centre after only one 48 age season under his belt, it’s not his fault that happened to be a contract year.

Stupid, stupid move on the part of Nonis.

Such a difference in the Detroit and Toronto organizations . . . .

Yeah, at this point in his career he likely wouldn’t have 48 straight games played in a Red Wings sweater.
