Per Capgeek.com (and RedWingsFeed):

Here's what the NHLPA's website says:

The Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHLPA and the NHL was ratified by the NHLPA membership on January 12, 2013, concluding a four-month lockout by the owners of the National Hockey League Clubs.

The Agreement sets out the terms and conditions of employment of all professional hockey players playing in the NHL as well as the respective rights of the NHL Clubs, the NHL and the NHLPA. The Agreement is set to remain in effect until September 15, 2022, with both the NHL and the NHLPA having the right to terminate the Agreement after eight years.
