Is that really a ‘wacky bounce?’

NHL caption: "Kucherov scores after puck takes wacky bounce." Fan who grew up watching NHL games at Joe Louis Arena: "Tampa Bay defeated Carolina 2-1 because Nikita Kucherov knows that the stanchions are in play and Cam Ward cheated toward the perceived trajectory of the puck."

Kucherov's SECOND goal, the game-winner, was "wacky":

So you think the first bounce was on purpose?? I call BS. The second one I wouldn’t call “wacky” so much as lucky and unlucky for Hainsey.

Not on purpose - per Stalman and Kuch - the second he was trying to pass to Johnson and the defenseman got in the way. Cooper said with a chuckle, they had had no bounces the last few games so he’d take 2 in one night.

I watched it and heard him after the game - was very surprised, said after the game here came the puck off the board -  it was rolling and he was terrified he’d miss it and end up on You tube - or Kukla’s Korner lol. If he had you can bet he would have been on both, but no plug for you Paul
