Breaking #Isles news: Rick DiPietro to have surgery Tuesday to repair a sports hernia. Season likely done.
Best-case scenario for DiPietro is back by beginning of April. He’s played 47 games the last 4 seasons. This is his 6th surgery since 2008.

I said this on Twitter but will repeat here. I’m not sorry about Carcillo at all. I don’t usually wish injuries on anyone, but the NHL is better without this goon playing.

So does that mean Carcillo will be suspended for the first 7 games of next season, too? That suspension isn’t looking so bad now.

Fragile. And for a 15-year, $67.5 million contract signed back in 2006. Nice job, Snow. You’ve basically sacked the Isles in the balls with one of the worst contracts in sports history. I know you’re sick of hearing it but it sooooo bears repeating.

if I had a nickel for every time ‘DiPietro’ and ‘done for season’ were uttered in the same sentence ...

Maybe the man upstairs is telling DiPietro he should have been a doctor instead of a goalie. My goodness.

It’s real fitting and nice to see a guy known for reckless/dirty hits to have his season ended on a reckless/dirty hit… that he delivered.
