If Nashville wins tonight, expect Radulov, Kostitsyn to continue sitting

According to USA Today’s Kevin Allen, Nashville Predators coach Barry Trotz is hoping that he can extend Alexander Radulov and Sergei Kostitsyn’s stints in the press box:

“Tonight if we get it done then I would expect we would go back to the same group,” Trotz said Wednesday morning.

Trotz also volunteered Wednesday morning that the Predators didn’t know before Game 2 that Radulov and Kostitsyn had violated the rules the night before.

“Hell would have had to freeze over if they would have played Game 2 if I knew before,” Trotz said. “That’s how I am; that’s how the management team is and that’s how the Nashville Predators are run. There’s been a lot of speculation that we knew and that’s a bunch of crap. We didn’t. I just wanted to throw that out there because it’s been asked a lot, but not ever to me.”

I would say this probably seals the deal on these two jokers playing in Nashville next season.

Well, they managed to win the game.  So let’s see what happens now because I call complete BS on the idea of them still sitting.

I don’t think it’s BS. Also, I would agree there’s a chance they don’t play in Nashville next year. I could see giving AK a one year contract to see if he can act like a grown up and develop into a professional like his little brother did. Not sure who the bigger idiot was before SK came over. It’s possible Trotz and co. get thru to the boy. As for Rad, hit the road jack! Maybe they can trade his RFA contract to some idiot organization who thinks he’s got some potential for integrity. Let them sit! Only use them in case of injury. Bring back AK before Rad. The NBC highlight reel definitely exposed Rad’s lack of work ethic.

That was pretty pathetic. I think a lot of that was NHL going out of their way to make the KHL look bad by showing how lazy their MVP is and how he can’t hack it at the NHL level. Not that they’re wrong, just thought it seemed like a shot at the KHL. But Radulov gave them plenty of ammunition.
