Hussey A Good Fit For The Wings

from the Times Leader,
Matt Hussey is headed to Motown. A fixture in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ lineup the past four seasons, Hussey signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings late last week. The Dallas Stars and Toronto Maple Leafs also expressed interest in signing Hussey, who led the Baby Pens in scoring with 51 points last year. “The way Detroit plays – (its) creativity and speed – I’ll fit in pretty well,” Hussey said. “They were pretty interested in me. They felt with the speed of the new NHL, and with my size and speed and the way I play, that I could be a good fit on their third or fourth line.”
