Hurricanes Are Just Starting

from Eric Duhatschek of the Globe and Mail,
The Hurricanes' resurgence is extraordinary, not only because it was so unexpected, but because they can only get better. In 2002, when they made a trip to the 2002 Stanley Cup finals, their best player was Francis, aged 40. Now, their best player is Eric Staal, aged 21. They also have their goaltender of the future, Cam Ward, in place (he's 21 as well) and a mainstay on defenceman coming in Jack Johnson, perhaps as early as next season.
