Humidity Drops In The ACC

A huge weight has been added to the Air Canada Centre that may take a load off the backs of the building’s chief occupant, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The second of two gigantic dehumidifiers, each weighing 56,000 pounds, was lifted by an equally monstrous crane through and opening in the roof Thursday into the attic of the sports palace.
The units will be fully functional by the time the ice goes in on Sept. 9 so when the Leafs play their first pre-season game against the Phoenix Coyotes on Sept. 20, the fans should find the environment more comfortable and the players should have no reason to complain about the quality of the ice.
