How Much Will An NHL Team Pay Jagr?

from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,
Jaromir Jagr appears NHL-bound and it’s only a question of which team he’ll sign with, his agent told ESPN.com on Tuesday morning.
Agent Petr Svoboda said Pittsburgh, Detroit “plus another team I can’t name” are the three options for his veteran client.
“We have to make a decision soon,” Svoboda said from the Czech Republic.
Svoboda said Jagr would sign a one-year deal with one of those three NHL teams. He also said a decision should be made within the next few days, perhaps as early as Tuesday. Jagr met all day with Svoboda on Monday and the two were slated to meet again later Tuesday.

i am thinking in the 2 million dollar range. The last thing Jagr wants to do is sign some large money 1-year contract and have the legacy he is trying to fulfill come crashing down with his fan base booing him because of a bloated salary with no production.
i want him back with the penguins.
kind of funny how the two teams he is interested in have casinos.

god i hope Holland doesn’t get jagr. This veteran crap is always overblown. Veterans are good, but you don’t a box of them. Not to mention this old bum. He couldn’t skate when he left the NHL to Russia and Hudler obviously didn’t improve his skating when he left and came back. Not even for the cap min. Garbage.

Personally, I think “some large money 1-year contract” is EXACTLY what Jagr wants…regardless of his perceived legacy. I’m so hoping that the Pens offer it to him. I don’t want him in a Wings uniform.

Me too.
Specifically, I just don’t want him on Detroit.

The Rangers will throw money away any how. Might as well do it with Jagr. 3 million. Put him on PP with Gabo.
