Leach, 29, played 24 games for the Devils last season and had no goals and one assist.
Tappen, 28, is the daughter of Richard and Sheila Tappen of Morristown. She is NESN’s in-studio host for Boston Bruins games and is a Rutgers graduate. She will continue to use her maiden name on the air.
