Hockey Career Path Decided Early

With so many options available to teenage hockey stars – CHL, USHL, or NCAA – figuring out what is best for their burgeoning pro careers is a difficult decision. Imagine being 15 and deciding to move away from your parents in small-town Manitoba or Wisconsin to play on the other side of the continent for the Vancouver Giants or Boston College Eagles. Especially when, as Dennis MacInnis, director of scouting for International Scouting Services, noted, most boys that age are thinking about “driver’s licenses and girlfriends.”
