One month to the day.
It was exactly a month ago when Matt Scorisho laced up the skates to in a game that would change his life forever.
The Senior at Detroit Catholic Central High School in Novi, Michigan was playing in a Michigan Development Hockey League All-Star game last month when he suffered a sever spinal cord injury. In a split second, the high school senior with aspirations to play for Michigan State University after graduating, was left paralyzed from the waist down.
Once again Sauce Hockey has stepped in to help a young injured player and their family.
Sauce Hockey has worked up a special t-shirt design and is starting their pre-sale to raise money for the Sorisho family.
“We ask that hockey fans worldwide join us in supporting an amazing young man and his family in a time of need. The hockey community is a special group of people, who sticks together and helps each other whenever necessary. Now is one of those times.”
There will be a benefit for Matt held at Compuware Arena in Plymouth (home of the Detroit Catholic Central ice hockey team and the OHL’s Plymouth Whalers) on November 20th as well.
