Hockey Talks On A Late Saturday Night

04/27/2013 at 10:32pm EDT

from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,

- Was there not a single Canadian capable of being the chief executive officer of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Ltd? Wonder if anyone will challenge the appointment of Tim Leiweke from an immigration perspective?

- Over the past three seasons, Ovechkin has 204 points, or seven more than Phil Kessel, who really does deserve more accolades than Southern Ontario seems willing to give him.

- Why the NHL is so much better than the NBA: The first round of the NBA playoffs is close to unwatchable (except for Golden State-Denver). The gap between top teams and bottom playoff teams is too wide. In the NHL, you drop the puck in Round 1 and the drama begins.

more including Brian Burke may have been a candidate for the GM job in Dallas which appears to be going to Jim Nill as of tonight...
