Hitchcock Sorry For Outburst

"I guess I need to apologize," Hitchcock said yesterday after the Flyers had a short skatearound to get ready for tonight's Game 3 at the Wachovia Center. "I know better than that. I kind of lost discipline the way our team did in the game." Reacting to Ruff's saying the Flyers acted like "idiots," Hitchcock ended his postgame news conference by saying Ruff could "[bleep] off." "To use a word like that on television or on radio or in print is not who I am," Hitchcock said. "That's not what I'm about, so saying it was the wrong thing.

Will Ken Hitchcock, the hard-nosed head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, be the next to get the axe? You can't help but wonder, considering the way the Flyers are playing in the playoffs.
