Hinote Closing In On Suspension

from the Rocky Mountain News,
Colorado Avalanche forward Dan Hinote is halfway to a suspension. Frustrated during a 5-0 playoff loss Friday night, Hinote flattened Anaheim Mighty Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf as the game ended. The hit drew a 5-minute major charging penalty, a 10-minute misconduct and a game-misconduct. NHL rules call for an automatic one-game suspension for any player who receives two game-misconduct penalties during the playoffs. Hinote also will be fined $200 for the game misconduct, and $100 for the 10-minute misconduct.
