from Eric Stephens of Ducks Blog at the OC Register,
But when prompted to discuss the fit and youthful 42-year-old Teemu Selanne for the latest time,Bruce Boudreau couldn’t contain his inner comedic urge.
“He’s almost as old as me and looks just as good or better,” Boudreau said.
Following a two-hour practice on the first day of an abbreviated training camp, Boudreau then got more serious in breaking down the marvel that is Selanne.
“It is amazing at how good a shape he’s in and he doesn’t get winded,” he said. ”You watch him, he’s never bent over on his stick. His face might look drawn sometimes. But he’s a pretty remarkable specimen.
“And I said this last year and I fully believe that for his age, he’s the best athlete in the world.”
