Hey Canada- Get Ready For Hockey, Win An Easton Synergy HTX Stick

note: moved to top of page, original post was 8/18/2014 at 10:20am.

In order to win the Easton Synergy HTX Stick, you must be a Canadian resident and also be a member of Kukla's Korner (join here, it takes 10 seconds).

For a chance to win, you must leave a comment by Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 6:00pm ET.

The topic is up to you but needs to be hockey related and I will choose one random winner from all the comments left.

The winner will be announced the week of September 1st and the stick will be shipped directly to you.

- As Canada’s home of hockey, Sport Chek wants Canadians to be fully prepped for the upcoming hockey season by giving one lucky Kukla’s Korner reader the Easton Synergy HTX – the ultimate stick to help master your dangle and nail that slapshot.

- As the number one sporting goods retailer in Canada, Sport Chek offers a wide range of hockey products for all skill levels and price ranges.

PRODUCT SPECS

Easton Synergy HTX - E3

E3 - the most popular pattern in hockey. The rockered base of the blade allows you to keep the puck toward the toe and lift the heel off the ice in order to load the blade. Whether you're going high or low, with your hands in the right spot out in front of the puck, you will look the same to the goalie.

Price: $279.99

Recently, Sport Chek launched its Back to Hockey commercial, featuring Steven Stamkos. The commercial showcases the grit, determination and hard work that is needed to become the best hockey player you can be – whether you are an NHL all-star, or minor hockey league rookie.

Always willing to try a new stick, and have tried many Easton sticks in the past. Play on both skates and boots, so need a variety of sticks.

Thanks for the contest.

I play with Easton Stealth right now… To be honest a stick will not make my game better - but would love to win this one grin

Cheers from the far-far north of Canada.

Considering I’ve never had a stick worth more than 60 bucks, I’d be pretty pumped to win this stick.

Who knows, if I win and it improves my game, maybe I’ll let Quincey use it on game days.

This is a sweet contest. Would be even cooler if we can choose the flex of the stick since I like an extremely stiff one. Hope this counts as my entry.

I’m a die-hard hockey fan and I will be signing up to play organized hockey this fall for the first time in my life. I grew up in Bella Coola, BC and we barely had ice in the winters. I used to have a Gretzky aluminum 2-piece stick but I think this would top it. I’ve got a bit of gear but an Easton Synergy would make my day. Thanks!

I was long time believer that your equipment does not matter, but the older I get the less I think that way. Especially skates and sticks. The technology is rapidly changing. I recently tried a more expensive stick and found the feel and “kick” to be a difference. Of course playing non competitive and getting whacked and slashed its hard to justify that expense. Also I find keeping the same pattern is difficult as manufacturers change up. I still love my Datsyuk the best and try to find similar patterns with the other brands.

I AM Canadian!

I’m a long time reader, first time commenter.  Love the Redwings and all things hockey. Sportchek is a great store for you to partner with Paul.  The stick you are going to give away is a great piece of equipment too.  I’m excited to try the new blade technology they have introduced in this stick.  Hope everyone is as pumped for the new season as I am!!

If I were to win this would be my first non-wooden stick. Yup!
