Hatcher Plans To Be More Mobile

from the Philadelphia Inquirer,
Derian Hatcherhas a message for Flyers fans: He's not finished, and he can play in the "new" NHL. Hatcher admits he tried hard not to read the negative press clippings about how s-l-o-w he looked on the ice in the second half of the season. That's why he spent almost eight weeks arduously rehabbing his right knee, after his off-season surgery. "Did the knee contribute to my problems?" Hatcher asked this week. "Yeah, but I'm not going to use it as an excuse. I didn't play well, and I know that. But the knee felt entirely different after the surgery."
