Dominik Hasek has tendinitis in his right wrist and won’t play the next two games, the Wings said Saturday. Tests revealed the wrist is not broken, but general manager Ken Holland said if Hasek doesn’t feel better by Monday, he might get a cortisone shot.

I once said about Dominik Hasek that he protects his goal as if his children were in the net behind him. I made that remark about a dozen years ago and it is still true today.
Hasek is 42 now, and he’s all about the purpose of helping bring another Stanley Cup to Detroit.
But he can’t do that if he’s not healthy, and given his chronic groin problems the Red Wings are holding their collective breath that Hasek holds up through the playoffs
