Hartley: Replay Against Rules

from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Thrashers coach Bob Hartley said the team will call the NHL to complain about a play that was reviewed in the first period Saturday night. Replay officials looked at whether a shot by Montreal's Sergei Samsonov went over the goal line. Reviews cannot occur once play resumes, and after the whistle following Samsonov's shot, officials dropped the puck for a faceoff and eight seconds ticked off the clock. Hartley said the phone wasn't working from the replay officials' booth to the on-ice officials to inform them not to begin play, so someone sounded a horn to get their attention. "I never thought it would happen at the Bell Centre," Hartley said. "They said the phone was not working."
