Hand Surgery For Kevin Bieksa, Out 2-5 Weeks

The Ducks announced that defenseman Kevin Bieksa will undergo surgery on his left hand today to remove scar tissue. He is expected to be out of the lineup for 2-5 weeks.

Bieksa has appeared in 59 games this season, earning eight points (all assists). The 36-year-old defenseman appeared in his 800th NHL game on February 11 vs. San Jose and played his 200th career game as a Duck on February 5 at Toronto. He posted a season-high +3 rating on December 31 vs. Arizona and earned a career-high seven blocked shots on December 29 vs. Calgary.
