Half Season Review

This is the most tumultuous season in National Hockey League history, from the standpoint of change, but only the most hidebound of the hockey (in)cognoscenti think it's a bad thing. Despite some lingering problems, such as poor attendance in some cities, the NHL's owners and players can say they are in a much better place than they were in the last season when hockey was played.
