from Frank Seravalli of Frequent Flyers,
Defenseman Nick Grossmann missed Thursday’s practice.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said that Grossmann suffered an “upper-body” injury in Game 4 against Pittsburgh. He is officially listed as “day-to-day.”
Grossmann left the game in the second period after taking an elbow to the head from Evgeni Malkin. NBC 10’s Howard Eskin is reporting Grossmann suffered a concussion. The Flyers had no comment on the report.
more on the Flyers and you can watch the hit from Malkin on Grossman below…

Should be looked at and he should be suspended a game, at minimum.
It should be looked at, but like that’s going to happen.

What’s the difference between that and the hit on Smith?

Evgeni Malkin did this one. Oh, and this one actually caused an injury.
The wheel of justice says “Hockey Play” though, sorry

No apparent injury at time of (missed) infraction. Star player or players involved. $2500 fine at maximum.

Wasnt this also right after Malkin got out of the box for spearing his face off opponent in the groin??

Flyers have no room to make any calls for suspensions.
Rinaldo
Kubina
Read
Giroux
All should be suspended after game 4.

Giroux for what? Getting shoved by Dupuis being off balance having his stick come down on Dupuis? Kubina and Rinaldo you have somewhat legitimate gripes, although I actually think Kubina’s was worse than Rinaldo. Read, eh, not so much.

Yes, it was right after he came out of the box for “low-sticking” Couturier

Rinaldo and Read may go, but given that the other two are star players… *rolls eyes…
Faux you, Shanahan.

Just asking for some consistency here.
James Neal was slew footed by PK Subban and his stick hit him hight as he fell. The league fined Neal $2500
Kubina is guilty of nearly the same thing Asham did minus the punch. Asham cross-checked Schenn in the chest after Schenn charged Martin (who is still not playing) and then punched him while he was down. Kubina cross-checked cooke in the face 3 times.
Rinaldo. No explanation needed. Very similar to when colby armstrong got punched in the face last year with a gloved fist and Ben Eager got 4 games.
Read with an elbow to the head of Despres… How is this any different than Neal?

by “hit”, you mean turn-around-overhand-tomohawk-chopped him across the sholder right? I can see why you would shorten that description

There’s no room for any Flyers fan to be calling for a suspension if Kubina or Rinaldo aren’t suspended, and it appears neither will be suspended. Moving on…
