Good News For Trade Deadline Day

ORONTO (February 23, 2018) One of the busiest and most exciting days of the hockey season is around the corner and Sportsnet is set to provide fans with wall-to-wall coverage of the NHL Trade Deadline with Hockey Central Trade Deadline across all TV, digital, radio and social platforms. Beginning February 26at5:30 a.m. ET on the Sportsnet Radio Network and8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW, comprehensive, full-day coverage will feature all the breaking news from across the NHL so fans can stay on top of the action in real-time.

Complementing the TV and radio coverage is extensive, in-depth analysis on Sportsnet.ca, including pre- and post-deadline columns on each Canadian team, power rankings, a live blog, and breaking news updates on Sportsnet’s Trade Tracker.

In the U.S, NHL Network will simulcast Sportsnet’s trade deadline coverage from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, with live reports and analysis from NHL Network’s contributors, including Kevin Weekes, Brian Lawton and Tony Luftman, appearing on Hockey Central Trade Deadline.

Sportsnet’s all-star lineup of experts will guide viewers through the news of the day with thoughtful analysis, discussion and coverage:

· Main Panel: Live from the Hockey Central Studio, host Daren Millard anchors the main desk alongside analysts Nick Kypreos, Garry Galley, and Louie DeBrusk

· News Breaker Panel: Elliotte Friedman, Chris Johnston, and John Shannon break down all the trade news and analyze the deals as they happen

· Strategy Room: Jeff Marek, Colby Armstrong, Ryan Whitney, Doug MacLean and Glenn Healy examine the news of the day and potential moves teams could be making. In addition, they share their own trade deadline stories and experiences from both the player and management perspectives.

· Prospects Review: Sam Cosentino evaluates all moves involving NHL prospects

· Throughout the day, Sportsnet 590 The FAN’s all-star lineup will break down the biggest trades and implications for each team, culminating with Prime Time Sportswith Bob McCownfrom 4-7 p.m. ET. Back in the co-host chair alongside McCown will be Stephen Brunt who makes his return to the timeslot on Monday.

Sportsnet 960 The FAN

· In Calgary, Sportsnet 960 The FAN will bring listeners day-long trade deadline coverage starting at 5:30 a.m. MT with Boomer and Warrener in the Morning through to The Big Show with Rob Kerr and Pat Steinberg, concluding at6 p.m. MT.

· On-air and online, The FAN will keep Calgary sports fans up-to-date on key trades with a special focus on the Flames.

· Additionally, Eric Duhatschek and Eric Francis will be in-studio as special guests weighing in on the news of the day.

· Fans can have their say from 6-10 p.m. MT as a special call-in show discussing the day’s big moves closes out the coverage.

Sportsnet 650

· In Vancouver, coverage begins at 5:30 a.m. PT with The Starting Lineup with Cybulski, Darling & Laurence.

· Canucks pre- and post-game host Joey Kenward will be on-site at Rogers Arena with Canucks management filing up-to-the minute reports.

· Canucks play-by-play man Brendan Batchelor and colour analyst Corey Hirsch are on the ground with the team in Denver to get immediate reaction to any moves.

· Dan Riccio is set to man the Hockey Central Trade Deadline desk with all the breaking news on the day.

· Canucks analyst Alex Auld will be in-studio from 10 a.m. – noon PT to help dissect all the last minute deals.
