Kukla's Korner Hockey

Gomez & The Rangers

from Larry Brooks of the NY Post,

On a night when the Blueshirts converted four of their eight shootout opportunities against Martin Brodeur to defeat the Devils 3-2 at the Meadowlands, one could envision just how much more dangerous the Rangers would be with impending free agent Gomez in their lineup, leading the rush next season and maybe for four or five following that.
Make no mistake. It is irrefutable that the healing Rangers will need Gomez far more than New Jersey’s first-line center will need them when he hits the open market on July 1.
