have to wonder if the rules were being called for obstruction if any team would be giving gill 2 million a year.

For losing the best defensemen to UFA over the last five years, that’s serviceable I suppose.
Meanwhile the Wings will likely be:
Suter-Kronwall
Quincey-White
Ericsson-Smith
The gap between those two groups compared to the Wings group in July of 2010 is night and day.
