The Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch didn't pen a Sunday rumor column, but he more than makes up for that this morning by handicaping "the goalie market," suggesting that the Edmonton Oilers may move Nail Yakupov and tossing off coaching scoops:
While all eyes are on the Eastern and Western Conference finals, there is plenty of chatter that matters taking place with as many as 10 teams either trying to shore up their goaltending or thinking about the possibility before free agency on July 5.
League sources say the No. 1 goalie market is wide open with Philadelphia, Florida, Edmonton, Washington, Buffalo, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Calgary, Minnesota and the Islanders trying to decide on a direction to take.
