Gainey Takes A Chance

from Red Fisher of the Montreal Gazette,
I'll say this about Bob Gainey: the guy has never been afraid to take chances. He has the backbone to rock the boat. Trouble is, there's always the chance of sinking it. Jose Theodore for David Aebischer? Hoo boy! Clearly, for the Canadiens, it starts with the money game. Salary-cap money. With Theodore, his three-year contract, ($4.5 million this season) averages out to $5.3 million.
