FSN Detroit- High Definition Update

I must receive about 5-10 emails a week asking me about HD broadcasting on FoxSports Net-Detroit. Today, I am pleased to say I received an email from FSN Detroit. "Carriage contracts are currently being discussed, but have yet to be executed between the network and the cable/satellite operators. When those contracts are executed, we will be prepared to offer some games of the Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers in HD." Basically, FSN Detroit is in negotiations and we as fans are in a wait and see mode. At least we know the sides are in discussion and working at reaching an agreement. When I receive more information, it will be posted. update 4:00pm, This post has received quite a few hits since being posted; it shows the interest Detroit area fans have in their sports being broadcast in HD. Please feel free to pass this post on to other Detroit Sports forums and blogs, and when reading this, leave a message to let the sides involved in negotiations how much you want your Detroit Sports in High Definition. I am sure people from FSN Detroit, Comcast, WOW and satellite companies will be monitoring this topic. Use this permalink when passing it on.
