Stars general manager Doug Armstrong said he needs to take some time and talk to some people before he makes any decisions about the future of his team. However, his words Wednesday spoke of a man frustrated by exiting the playoffs in the first round for the third consecutive season.
“We’ve been in the same spot three years in a row. Three years in a row, and tweaks aren’t really working,” Armstrong said. “It’s frustrating. I thought we had the pieces in place to make a push. It’s a little bit different this year than in years past. I thought our team was in better position to go deeper than maybe the last couple of years.”
