from Katie Strang of ESPNNewYork,
Rangers forward (and Boston native) Brian Boyle will be scratched for the third straight game Tuesday against the Boston Bruins and he's not happy about it.
Venting his frustration, the struggling center wants back into the team's lineup and feels he can still contribute to his Rangers squad.
"I didn't play as well as I could've but I know I can be a good player and effective player in this league and on this team," he told reporters Tuesday morning after the team's skate at TD Garden. "It's infuriating sitting out, it's awful. And it's pissing me off a lot."
Gotta imagine John Tortorella likes to see this sort of fire and anguish from Boyle. Although the hulking centerman is fighting it right now, he's showing the requisite desperation to return.
