Forsberg Retiring

note: original post time was 11:49am, Watch the Forsberg press conference below (2nd video).  It is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm ET.

added 4:55pm, Forsberg now answering questions in Swedish, so now the analysts are breaking down the conference.

via a Colorado Avalanche press release,

Colorado Avalanche forward Peter Forsberg will hold a press conference today (Monday, February 14) at 2:30 p.m MT. at Pepsi Center.

At that time, he will announce his retirement from the game of hockey.

Forsberg played 13 years and played 708 games and scored 885 points. federov Played 13 years for detroit he played 948 games and scored 954 points. he was also a point per game guy nad he was more durable. the number of games over the same period of time prove that. Federov also won a hart just like Forsberg but he also won two Selke Trophy’s.

“Forsberg was over a point per game player, and Fedorov was not.
Those words top forwards are used loosely, and can apply to a lot of players going back many years.
