Fleury Goes White

...That’s because his trademark school bus yellow pads are gone, replaced by nondescript white ones.
“I got a letter from an eye doctor and he told me yellow was the color you pick up the quickest with your eyes. So I thought I would try the white ones,” Fleury said. “Then the players on the team said it makes me look a little bigger. So I thought if it gives me a little advantage, I’ll take it.”
It’s not the pads, though, that are the focus of Fleury’s trip back to the AHL. It’s what lies beneath.
