from Marcie Garcia of NHL.com,
Though you can take the boy out of the country that Fisher calls home, you can’t stop him from hunting.
Returning to one of his favorite outdoor activities—whether it be strapping on a bow and arrow, toting a shotgun or smearing camouflage paint on his face—is the normalcy Fisher welcomes.
He admits, however, that he doesn’t have the patience to sit up in a tree stand for more then an hour when hunting. He needs to walk around and get his feet dirty in the leafy soil.
“After practice, just going out, it’s a good way for me to get away and have a little bit of balance,” Fisher says. “To get away from the game and just relax and enjoy the outside and God’s creation. It’s just something I love to do.”
