Fehr Says PA Ready To Meet, Daly Wants To Know The Agenda First

from Pierre LeBrun of ESPN,
Speaking to a large throng of media here before an NHLPA charity hockey game at the former Maple Leaf Gardens, NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr was asked why bargaining has not resumed this week.
"Because the owners have not indicated a desire to resume," Fehr said. "We've indicated any number of times that we're willing to resume whenever they are without pre-conditions.''
NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly, reached by ESPN.com via email Wednesday evening, said the league is willing to resume talks under the right conditions.
"We haven't said we won't meet, but we certainly would want to know what the agenda is and how they intend to proceed,'' Daly said.
Daly created a buzz earlier Wednesday when during a Hockey Night In Canada radio interview he was asked for a simple yes or no answer to whether he thought there would be a season this year. He responded "yes.''
"That's good news," Fehr said when told of Daly's affirmative answer. "I'm glad to hear that. I certainly hope he's right. That's the players' goal, that's what we want to try and do.
"Hopefully, we'll get back together and negotiate out the remaining issues as soon as possible."

Fehr should give him the proposed agenda, meet up, and then change the agenda the minute he speaks.
So the vicious cycle begins anew…

He’s still a kid, people should cut him some slack.
@Topic: The NHL is making this a homerun for Fehr. All he has to do is to continue to invite the NHL to negotiations while going the dissolve-vote road.
It will end in a bloody desaster for Bettman. Someone’s desaster is anotherone’s chance, hoping that this will be the last labor dispute the fans have seen for a long time…

disagree JZ, he’s a grown man. Also i’m going to assume he’s at least smart enough to see the backlash players have recieve for ridiculous tweets during this lockout. Thirdly, it wasn’t cool when Mike Commodore did it, why in hell would he think it’s cool NOW, especially given the current context for it?

Yeah, not helping.

21 years of age is still a kid a in my eyes. Once an older man told me that you aren’t considered a grown man until you’re taking care of your own family. Anyway his behaviour isn’t helping the NHLPA’s case in terms of public opinion. But on the other hand when some celebrities show off their wealth people usually adore them for it.. you know the music videos, mtv shows, etc…
Damnit we’re writing about an immature athlete instead of “did you see pasha’s magic last game??!” one word, frustrating!

Why is there a question mark at the end of that statement?
That poor use of punctuation sure isn’t helping the Winnipeg servers’ case. We should all hate-tweet at them!
Oh, is it petty to focus on that? On one moment of ignorance? Hmm…

Some people have long memories, Garth. I don’t think the local businesses in Winnipeg wouldn’t have created that sign if E.Kane kept stiffing them with the tab.

If you can afford to pay the bill and it is your bill, you are an adult. I don’t see him saying he is only 21 when he goes to a bar or Vegas. He just happens to be a very rich and immature adult that is in the public spotlight. Many of us were just as immature, we just weren’t as good at advertising it to the world.

“We haven’t said we won’t meet, but we certainly would want to know what the agenda is and how they intend to proceed,’’ Daly said.
Conditions on negotiating?
So they want to negotiate for the right to negotiate?
I just… wow.
