Post-deadline deals are permitted, but would NHL allow in this case? Why should Dadonov be punished and his season ended?

VGK will be in cap hell.  Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty and Reilly Smith are all on LTIR and if they come back, some player movement has to happen.
