Everyone To NYC

NEW YORK – Jan. 10, 2007 – Hockey fans can be on NBC this Saturday. Rockefeller Plaza will again host the NHL on NBC this Saturday as NBC Sports launches its second season of the National Hockey League. Hockey fans are invited down to watch Brett Hull, Ray Ferraro and Bill Clement as they broadcast NBC’s NHL studio show from rinkside, and serve as the backdrop for the show (and possibly appear on TV), which originates from “The Rink at 30 Rock.”

The studio team will sign autographs for fans and NHL on NBC pucks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite team’s jersey. Taping begins at 12:30 p.m., and the studio show begins at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSports.com and continues on NBC beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Throughout the first and second period, Hull, Ferraro and Clement will hit the ice for demonstrations that will air during the intermission reports.
In order to ensure that hockey fans miss none of the game action, the Rangers-Bruins game will be shown on specially-added big screen televisions at Rock Center Café, restaurants in the concourse at Rockefeller Plaza.
NBC Sports will present nine weeks of NHL regular-season action: Jan. 13, Jan. 28, Feb. 11, Feb. 18, March 4, 11 and 25, April 1 and April 8, up from six regular season dates last season. The studio show will be broadcast from “The Rink at 30 Rock” throughout the regular season.
