Every Team Has A Chance

from the Nashville City Paper,
The goal has always been for the Nashville Predators to hoist a Stanley Cup, but watching the Carolina Hurricanes skate to NHL supremacy this season made general manager David Poile even more anxious to win a title. “They are in a non-traditional hockey market where people said they wouldn’t make it,” Poile said. “When you saw the stands, their fans didn’t sit down for one minute of the final game. There is a lot more parity than there has been in the league before. An eighth-place team, Edmonton, that made the playoffs on the last day arguably came within one goal of the Stanley Cup. We all feel we have a chance.”
