“You never know how long you’re going to play, maybe this is my last year, or maybe there’s one more, who knows.  But for sure, it’s an end of the road, but you have fun, suck it in and see what happens. … This is the best time of the year.”

Oh, Homer, you crazy Swede. If you only knew how funny you really are.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Patric Holmqvist is quickly gaining notoriety, especially back home in Sweden, as his popularity grows in his role as the next great NHL net-front presence.

I wonder if the Predators’ Patric Hornqvist knows about this Holmqvist guy. They sound like they play a very similar game.  rolleyes

I have such great respect for Homer. He is one in a billion, and, there is no one that sets up in front of the net better that Homer. 4 Cups. Here’s to 5 Cups. 12 in’12.

Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!

The guy gives 100% every game, is the best net front presence since Dino Cicarelli and has the best trait you can have as a hockey player: grumpiness. I’m gonna miss that goofy Swede when he retires.
