dear glen,

it’s “impossible to tell” how your team is going to look like when you make signings like you did in the offseason (staal excluded, damn).

please keep up your good work.
some hockey generations ahead, people will hopefully use both “sather” and “milbury” synonymous.

I wouldn’t describe them as synonymous to be honest, they were both incompetent in their own ways

To Milbury - to tinker continuously with one’s team, to avoid stability of any kind, and to pursue certain players (e.g. Rick DiPietro) regardless of the team’s needs.

The farmer’s crops looked like they might be viable, but he decided to Milbury and plant new ones instead

To Sather - to attempt to solve problems caused by over-compensating mediocre players by trading said players and then over-compensating new mediocre players in their place.

Having been ripped off by cowboy builders, the homeowner Sathered himself by hiring an incompetent firm to fix his house. “It’s difficult to see how my house will look when it’s finished”, he commented.

I hope he smartens up and signs some solid d men.  Semenov and Exelby would add a lot of depth as the 5 6 pair.  They needed depth at d very badly last year.
