"John Tortorella was on my staff for the Olympics in 2010. He's a good guy. I don't know what's going on in his head, but you know what? Shut your mouth and worry about your team. Leave my coach alone."

-Brian Burke of the Calgary Flames on Vancouver head coach John Tortorella.

Tortorella made a few comments about Bob Hartley last night and you can read all about in a piece from the CP at TSN.

I never thought it would be so easy to get Tortorella’s skin but, I think all Heartly has to do is show up after that 4th line incident. Honestly early in the season Torts made it a point to push the toughness of the Sedins, they’ve just had a rough season.  All high profile players are gonna take tough hits that’s what you got your goons for. Tortorella needs to find his center and get right. HA Burk that’s a whole nother bag of nuts. He’s spot on here.

Tortorella is a joke of a coach.  Hopefully team’s realize this after he is done in vancouver and just let him fade into the distance.

One ridiculous blowhard making comments about another ridiculous blowhards comments? The universe just exploded.

I never thought I would agree with something Burke said, but Trtorella has found a way to get it done. Thanks Torts, I don’t hate my team’s GM as much today as I did yesterday.
