Given that the 2 goalies behind him are Dan Ellis and Al Montoya, this isn’t exactly any kind of bold prediction.  He’s going to get the bulk of work by default.

Primis I think he is saying the Panthers will be in the playoff mix by saying, “will star for #Florida and will be comeback story of the year.”  With the young talent like Bjugstad, Barkov, Pirri, Huberdeau, Howden and Trocheck up front and the UFA signings Panthers could be this season’s version of last season’s Avs. The key is the improvement in goal and if Luongo does “star for #Florida” like Varlamov did for Colorado, Panthers could surprise and one could argue that is a bold prediction.

Did you read s-t-a-r as s-t-a-r-t ??

No I didn’t misread.

I’m saying that the other two goalies aren’t very good, and Luongo is going to get every opportunity.

And criminey, the notion that Luongo is going to be good should not be surprising.  FLA will be a bad team and Luongo will hold them in games they shouldn’t be in.

Not rocket science here.
