Don Cherry’s use of English language bites him in the Butt again!  He has used “You People” and other weird comments many times.

People are a tad sensitive for some reason.  Hit a nerve about the immigration problem.

Our Prime Minister painted his face Black (many times) and dressed a little stupid but he got elected.

I enjoy DC and I do laugh at him also.  He is a genuine goofball at times, pretty good for an 85 yr old guy to get a Country at each others throats, LOL

It’s not funny. He’s a racist old *#$%@& and it’s time he’s taken off TV.

Immigration is a big problem in Canada.  I disagree but to each his own.

McLean must be getting pressure from above to have thrown Don under the bus after the fact.

It’s no secret that Sportsnet is hemorrhaging money on the NHL TV deal. This has led to them fire a lot of high priced talent from radio & TV. It wouldn’t surprise me if they use this issue to dump Don and his salary.

As I’ve stated in other threads here on KK, I don’t believe Don did or said anything justifying the ridiculous reaction on Twitter. The headline in the USA Today would have one thinking Cherry went on some racist diatribe, and that most certainly was not the case. That won’t stop the fake outrage from people who didn’t witness the event. The fake Twitter outrage will continue tomorrow with some other story. It never stops.

He absolutely did go on a racist diatribe. If he didn’t, who are the “you people” in downtown Toronto he was talking about? He needs to go.

Also, what’s Canada’s “problem” with immigration? That they’ve had it for a long time, and it’s usually not white people? Because that’s what it seems like from what Canadians are saying about this. Unreal.

Stop acting like what he said is OK because his comments were veiled in patriotism and ”respecting veterans” when those comments were also dripping with racist contempt for immigrants.

That’s what happened. That’s what he did. It’s unacceptable. He needs to go.

I’m married to a Somali Muslim immigrant.  English 3rd language.  I’m lost 0 seconds of my life worrying about what Don Cherry said.  What he said isn’t racist.  You people is not a racist term.  Dont water down real racism with trivial BS semantics with all the virtue signaling.

That’s nonsense.Cherry has a platform that reaches literally millions of people. It is not “virtue signaling” to state that he is a racist dinosaur whose views are outdated and wrong.

Also, what’s Canada’s “problem” with immigration?

PM wants at least 300,000 in 2020. They are from many countries with questionable backgrounds and pay big $$$ to get into Canada.

In Vancouver they are responsible for most Gangs (except HA), money laundering (Oriental) , housing shortage as they buy up all properties and the Tax didn’t deter them, drug trade, all the drive by shootings are mostly (East Indians), smuggling Guns from US, etc.

I live with this crap and it seems to be unstoppable.  High School kids and females are recruited to do the dirty work with less chance of being detected. BlackBerry phones that can’t be traced by the police. Casinos take big bags of $20 bills, they are laundering money.  It goes on and on.  Police are under maned across Canada .

Housing shortage, farms all run by immigrants…..They should not be paid big $$$ to come to Canada and clog up the legal system.

And there is a lot more going on!  Not sure about Toronto, but my Family is in Saskatoon, just a smaller proportion, Sask Govt got caught paying   an immigrant to run a large company in Regina and hire only immigrants.

Not sure why stocking Populations by paying for immigrants to work in their Cities, Provinces make any sense? Political Gain???
