Evening Line- Gary Bettman On The Ongoing CBA Talks

I think we're going to continue to work together on a timely basis, whatever that means, to see what we can accomplish together in terms of securing long-term labor peace beyond the three years.

-Gary Bettman.  Dan Rosen of NHL.com has more.

From the article:

“We have the same interests that the players do and that’s to make sure that the game is good for all stakeholders, especially including our fans,” the Commissioner said.

The ticket prices and the extortionistic “tier pricing” are shutting out the fans, you ignorant midget shrew of a commissioner.

The only concern Bettman has ever had is to increase franchising fees to line the owner’s pockets.  And when those owners believe another lockout is necessary to increase profits in the long run, he’ll usher it in with a smile on his face.

When the lockout is your first and only negotiation tactic, you suck at your job, Gary.

So, you’re saying you don’t know what “timely fashion” means, or what?

He’s saying that there’s plenty of time and no deadline right now.

Common sense is a thing.

If it’s gonna keep working, he’s gonna keep using it

NHLPA is becoming too greedy. And I do not like greedy players who care only about their own angle of view. For example Toews. He uncapable of understanding the concept that if there is a mandatory 50/50 sharing and some practicaltl tool how to managr the proper split , he should be willing to accept the inevitable drawaback in a form of escrow. Chicago will never win another cup until his contract and attitude cease to drag down the morale of his team.
