Anecdotally speaking, I don't ever recall so many "deals" being done in this so-called "talking/discussion period." There are a lot.

So it's all well and good to say VAN will give Sam Gagner three years or Michael Del Zotto two years and sign G Anders Nilsson, too...

...but I do worry with sooo many deals "potentially" done that one or two of them find a way to get undone. Devil is always in the details.

As 1 exec just noted: "Until 12 noon ET, teams can only discuss contract interest in general terms, not specifics about length or dollars."
